Kravis Center Hosts 9th Annual Hats Off Awards Nonprofit Awards

Attorney Bill Bone Returns as Master of Ceremonies, Continuing Multi-Year Tradition of Service

WEST PALM BEACH, FL — The Cohen Pavilion at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts once again transformed into a celebration of community impact as Nonprofits First hosted its 9th Annual Hats Off Nonprofit Awards.

The event brought together nonprofit leaders, volunteers, and supporters from across Palm Beach County for an evening recognizing the extraordinary dedication of those working to strengthen our community.

Bill Bone served as master of ceremonies for the prestigious event, a role he has embraced for multiple years. As a 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award winner himself, Bone brings both personal understanding and eloquent delivery to the evening’s proceedings.

His inspiring words have become a hallmark of the event, with attendees remembering his signature phrase, “Let the season begin,” which marks the Hats Off Awards as the official kickoff to Palm Beach County’s nonprofit season.

Event Chair Dr. Peter Cruise of Florida Atlantic University led the Host Committee in orchestrating the celebration, which featured nominees in fourteen categories. Guests filled the ballroom wearing creative hats of all shapes and sizes, honoring the event’s playful tradition while networking during the pre-awards reception.

The evening kicked off with music from nonprofit organization Digital Vibez, setting an upbeat tone before Bone took the stage to guide attendees through the recognition of outstanding nonprofit organizations, professionals, and volunteers.

His presentation highlighted the critical work being done throughout Palm Beach County to address community needs and create positive change.

“Bill Bone’s continued involvement as our emcee demonstrates his deep commitment to the nonprofit sector,” noted event organizers. “His ability to inspire our audience and honor the achievements of our nominees makes the celebration truly memorable.”

The Hats Off Nonprofit Awards, produced by Nonprofits First since 2017, has grown into one of the region’s premier recognition events for the nonprofit sector.

Proceeds from the event support Nonprofits First’s education and leadership programs, which provide professional development, training, and management support services to nonprofit organizations throughout the community.
